Ready To Never Sleep Again? What Beavis And Butthead Would Look Like In Real Life!

Wow.
Wow wow wow wow wow wow.
Check out these truly shocking sculptures of what Beavis and Butthead would look like if they were actual teenagers - a scary enough notion, without the actual horror of looking at them - done by special effects make-up artist Kevin Kirkpatrick, who created them using silicone with acrylic eyes and [...]

Thanks Andy Cohen! We all needed this!

In what has to be the creepiest, but funniest stunt ever pulled on Watch What Happens Live, Andy put his very special guest Ralph Fiennes in a very awkward position. It seems Andy was unaware that the Harry Potter fandom is a curious sort of bunch and sometimes, the the fan fiction they write about the series can get a little ... erotic!

So, Ralph Fiennes, being a very good sport if we may say so, agreed to read some of the gratuitous writing aloud ... as Lord Voldemort!

This one is gonna be all over the Muggle forums! Check out the video (above) to watch Voldemort rise again ... to read porn!

HIGHlarious!!!

5 Delay Effect Tips

As an alternative to attempting to make just about everything in the mix in the identical acoustic setting, why not use a variety of really diverse reverbs to provide some unusual depth to your mix? A really dry, upfront vocal will work nicely alongside quite a 'drowned' string section or even a small bright room environment on the drums.

Watch: Aisha Tyler Says Straight People Are F*CKING Up Marriage

Aisha Tyler has released a BRILLIANT short video clip in support of Americans For Marriage Equality. It is funny and personal and perfect. She says “Lets save traditional marriage, because we straight people are f*cking it up!” Check it out below. Aisha’s fame has come from the roles she has had in various movies including [...]

Last night David and I had plans to meet up with Tamar, Rob, Ollie and Caleb for a long overdue movie night where we planned on watching The Human Centipede 2 (The Full Sequence). Unfortch, our plans didn’t really work out the way we had hoped. Ollie and Caleb couldn’t make it and, well, it just wouldn’t be the same seeing the film without them so … we had to push back our Centipede plans for another night.

Instead, David and I met up with Rob and Tam for a delish Korean BBQ dinner at Tangier in Los Feliz and ended up having a great night irregardless. Tam and Rob introduced us to Tangier so it was only right for us to share our delicious night out with them. Altho we weren’t able to enjoy our planned movie night, our new plan to stuff our faces with mounds of all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ was a nice alternative ;)

Tonight will be a bizzy night. First, David and I are meeting up with friends for a Damien Hirst art opening and then I’m meeting up with my dear Irene downtown to see M83 in concert. Hopefully, Irene and I will be able to hang out with Ollie and Caleb since they live downtown close to the venue. Hope y’all are having a happy Thursday!

Lindsay Lohan Never Paid Her 2009 Income Taxes And Owes Uncle Sam $93K!

We're shocked not exactly surprised to report that Lindsay Lohan didn't pay her federal income taxes in 2009.
Whether she did it on purpose or it simply slipped her mind, she owes $93,701.57 to the IRS who have obtained a lien against her.
That means if she doesn't pay up then they'll go after all [...]

AHH!! YESS!!! DREAMS DO COME TRUE!! LOL!!

We've been SOO bummed about Adele's lack of performance lately due to that bitch of a throat, but good things come to those who wait!!

Adele, who is nominated in six categories, will be performing at the Grammys this year...more than likely!!!

A source close to her sings music in our ears (lol):

Adele will be at the Grammys in Los Angeles on February 12 at the Staples Center. She's thrilled to be nominated, but it's been a hard time for her because of the surgery. She has begun talking more, with her doctor's permission.

Adele's best friend in recent weeks has been warm compresses around her neck to help the healing process of her vocal chords. Producers of the Grammys would love to have Adele perform, and open the show, but she isn't able to give them an answer yet. She won't be able to give them an answer until the beginning of February, and they completely understand.

Okay, so there's a chance she can't, but we have faith!! Everyone needs to keep their positive thoughts rollin' because we need to see her sing again!!

Our world just hasn't been the same without those live golden vocal chords!!

Breathing for Singing and Why Your Breathing SHOULD Suck

Great Steve Earle albums aren't hard to find; just about every one of his records has at least one gem on it. I think his musical output should be considered in two pieces: pre- and post-drug use. This is because I notice a big difference in his music between the two eras. I'll let you know my top 5 from the post-drug era.

Empowered Artist: Keep These 6 Things In Mind

Most people involved in music and singing have heard the phrase, "sing from your diaphragm," but don't know exactly what that means. The diaphragm is a muscle below the rib cage, which bisects the body. The lungs, which reside within the rib cage, are, of course, expandable. The secret to breathing well for singing is to lower the diaphragm at the precise moment you take in air. When the diaphragm lowers, the area of the body that can fill with air is increased.

Robert De Niro Welcomes A Baby Girl

Actor Robert De Niro is a dad again at age 68. Yep he and his wife announced they have welcomed a baby girl. Via a surrogate, Robert De Niro and wife actress/singer Grace Hightower 56 years old, are now the proud parents of a baby girl, Helen Grace Hightower. Their new daughter joins big brother Eliot who is 13 years old. The little girl is apparently doing just fine. She weighed in at a healthy 7 pounds and 2 ounces. Robert and Grace have been married since 1997, however they separated in 1999 but their divorce was never finalized. In 2004 the couple renewed their vows and have been happily married since then. Little Helen is the sixth child for the Academy Award winning actor who has four other children. He has a son Raphael from his first marriage to Diahnne Abbott. Robert also adopted Diahnne’s daughter Drena from a previous relationship. Then there are his 16-year old twin boys Julian and Henry from his relationship with Toukie Smith. Well it certainly seems that De Niro and his family have even more reason to celebrate this holiday season with the addition of their new baby girl. What a great Christmas [...]

Wow! The Oscars is gonna have to undergo a major facelift now!

After Brett Ratner was forced to resign for his rude comments, Eddie Murphy has stepped down from the hosting spot!

Though he doesn't directly say it's due to the loss of Brett by his side (Ratner recently directed Murphy's Tower Heist), that's what everyone's thinking, including the Academy's President Tom Sherak who says:

I appreciate how Eddie feels about losing his creative partner, Brett Ratner, and we all wish him well.

As for Eddie, here's what his statement says:

First and foremost I want to say that I completely understand and support each party's decision with regard to a change of producers for this year's Academy Awards ceremony. I was truly looking forward to being a part of the show that our production team and writers were just starting to develop, but I'm sure that the new production team and host will do an equally great job.

Okay, okay, okay. We think we can deal with this. Just give us a moment.

....

Annnnd we're good! All right! Now, WHO should be the new host!?!

We kinda knew the drama was still boiling in Aunt Viv, but this confirms it.

Remember when we showed you the picture above?? It was such a fun reunion, but when the original Aunt Viv was asked why she didn't attend, she had some strong words to answer with!

Janet Hubert says:

There will never be a reunion as I will never do anything with an a$$hole like Will Smith. He is still an egomaniac and has not grown up. This constant reunion thing will never ever happen in my lifetime unless there is an apology, which he doesn't know the word.

Say whaaa???

Uhm, we're pretty sure Will comes across as one of nicest guys in Hollywood. Aunt Viv, what's really the matter here?

A lot of people think she's just still bitter after being fired, pointing the finger at Will because she can't take responsibility for her own bad attitude!

Even Will once said:

She said once, 'I've been in the business for 10 years and this snotty-nosed punk comes along and gets a show.' No matter what, to her I'm just the Anti-Christ.

Well UR not to us, Will! And honestly, we could have a Fresh Prince reunion without her! Just like the series...ha!

Thoughts??

Luckily, no snow has hit the Big Apple yet so the walk was less troublesome.

We aren't trying to save the arts. We are using the arts to save our children.

Oh no!

Baz Luhrmann has reportedly been forced to postpone filming his adaptation of the F. Scott Fitzgerald classic The Great Gatsby and send his cast and crew home for the holidays a day early after he injured himself on set!

According to co-producer Anton Monsted:

”We were on quite a cramped set and he was ducking under the crane. He struck his head on the weights on the end of the camera crane. He split open his head and we had to get the doctor.”

Ouchie! That sounds painful!

Here's hoping there were no further complications, and he can take the holiday to recover and rest!

We're sure everything can get right back on track, come the new year!

Feel better!

Singing With A Sore Throat Tips And Remedies

Arnold Schoenberg (1874-1951) was an Austrian composer that emigrated to America to escape Nazi Germany in 1934 and became a U.S. citizen. He is most famous (some would say notorious) for developing an entirely new way of composition based on the twelve tones of the chromatic scale, the twelve tone technique.

Schoenberg A Survivor From Warsaw

While most identify 1964's "California Sun" with the Rivieras (from sun-drenched South Bend, Indiana), the song originated with New Orleans R&B singer Joe Jones, who is known for his Top Ten hit, "You Talk Too Much." Jones recorded "California Sun" in an R&B style backed by a horn section but met little success. The Rivieras replaced Jones' horn section with a guitar and organ trading riffs and reached #5 with the track. "California Sun" was covered in 1977 by punk rock pioneers the Ramones, who added distortion and amped up the speed of the Rivieras' track.

Michael Card Songs The Lullabies

Twenty years ago, when it was not so inexpensive to record in a studio and every person in the world didn't have a home studio, if an artist wanted to record a song he had to save up enough money to buy a few of hours of studio time. When said artist used up that time if he had not finished his song he would have to save more money. Having to save money made you take your craft seriously.

Organ Music: About Piece Heroique by Cesar Franck

Although the most popular of all organ toccatas by Johann Sebastian Bach is the legendary Toccata and Fugue in D minor, BWV 565, perhaps even more masterful is the splendid and brilliant Toccata and Fugue in F Major, BWV 540. This composition might have been created in Weimar when the true compositional style of a master composer was formed. Virtuosic Toccata and Fugue in F Major usually is a true technical and mental challenge for many skilled organists. If performed well, it is a real treat for every organ music lover and listener. Otherwise, it has the potential to create a sense boredom.

Can A Kindle Replace The Printed Page?

Not that long ago, the only way you could rent movies was to go to the local video store, spend about an hour walking around looking at the shelves to see if you could find some movies you may like and then hope they were available when you got to the counter. Today, the whole world has changed which means you don't even have to leave the house to rent HD movies for you and your family to enjoy.

Christmas Time Is Here Again With The Beatles

Every now and then, an opportunity comes along that makes such an impression that you will never forget it; at least not for a long time anyway. For all of those who took the opportunity to see a concert just to hear the music live instead of on your radio or album, you have probably held on to some of those memories for many years. It makes no difference what the memory, if it is yours, that is all that matters. Likewise, there are those that experience live music in other venues are also likely to carry and cherish certain events as a special memories.
