Michael Moore Boycotts Georgia!

Following the execution of Troy Davis, a man convicted for the murder of a police officer despite the overwhelming amount of disagreement from American citizens, Michael Moore has thought it best to boycott the state of Georgia.
Troy even begged for a lie detector test to save his life, but it wasn't given.

Dressed to impress! Such a classy fellow. And he never has to worry about his tie being straight! LOLz!

This is Master Eric Lozano from Omaha. Eric finds himself behind bars this week - again - accused of assaulting officers, firing off a weapon and running from the cops, among other charges.

Watch: The Ringer Discussion Panel At 2011 San Diego Comic Con

The new CW TV series Ringer, which stars Sarah Michelle Gellar and will debut this Fall, was well-represented this year at 2011 San Diego Comic-Con … which means we got a lot of goodies to enjoy. First we got a couple of amazing promo posters, then we got a new trailer for the show … [...]

David and I were able to see the new musical Tales Of The City currently in production here in San Francisco, CA and despite not having read any reviews about the show we were very excited to see the show. I’m a HUGE fan of the original PBS miniseries Tales Of The City and hold the characters created by Armistead Maupin very near and dear to my heart. I was hoping to love the show … and thankfully, that’s exactly what I did :D

Because the original books and miniseries are so well done and beloved by fans, there was concern that the musical may not measure up. For the most part, Tales Of The City the musical really holds on to the original spirit of the stories and presents the characters in a very respectful way. The music, written by Jake Shears from Scissor Sisters, is actually quite good. Some of the songs could use a bit more work but for the most part, they do compliment the story very well. There is a song for the Michael Mouse Tolliver character where he reads (sings) a coming out letter to his mother … it’s heartbreakingly touching … it actually made me cry. The show has so much heart and is really fun. The staging is very inventive. If you are familiar with the way 28 Barbary Lane looks in the miniseries, you will be pleasantly surprised how much the stage version of the house comes to life with the same look and feel. The acting was superb … really. I loved every single actor on that stage. I hope this show makes it to Broadway … I think it might do very well. I believe Tales Of The City is one of the most charming stories out there … and this new musical is a charming NEW way to experience the drama and fun at 28 Barbary Lane. The show is being performed until July 31 so those of you here in SF have a few more days to see it … DO NOT miss it, I beg of you. This show should be experience in the city it is set in. You won’t be sorry, I’m sure of it.

Joe Jonas: House of Blues Boy

He’s been having a blast as a solo artist, and Joe Jonas was spotted at the House of Blues in West Hollywood, California last night (September 20).

The “See No More” stud was gracious enough to pose for pictures and sign autographs before he headed off into the evening.

In a recent interview, Joe confessed that his new material definitely has more of an R&B feel than his previous work with Jonas Brothers.

“I've always been inspired by that type of music. I've always listened to that, growing up, and I've always wanted to be able to one day create something different.”

Jonas also noted that he’s been putting in some time at the dance studio to gear up for his solo tour.

“Yeah, I've been doing a bunch of stuff with this fantastic choreographer. I've been working with him for, I would say, a little over a year. And I feel more comfortable every day with what we're coming up with, so I'm looking forward to doing more of it on tour.”

Melissa McCarthy Hollywoods New It Girl!

The hysterically funny Melissa McCarthy is Hollydood’s new It Girl! It may be a bold statement but I am here to tell you it is true. Melissa is on fire! I have been a fan of McCarthy’s since she played the hilarious Sookie St. James on Gilmore Girls. Seriously I watch reruns of the show every Saturday on SoapNet because it is so good and that is largely do to the talent of Melissa. She never really seemed get to the kudos she deserved for that role, so I am so unbelievably happy she is finally getting recognized for the talented woman she is. Last night the Mike and Molly star took home the Emmy for Best Actress in a Comedy Series, for her role on the CBS hit show. I have never been so excited to see someone win in my life but it seems no one was more excited than McCarthy herself. As she was giving her acceptance speech you could so tell that she was genuinely not only surprised by her naming being called but grateful for the win. That my friends is one of the other reasons I think she rocks! Ya’ll may not agree with [...]

Arts and Entertainment:Music from EzineArticles.com

There are many musicians who oftentimes find themselves in search of free beats that they can use as part of a musical composition that they are putting together. This is actually something that has turned into a very big business considering the fact that most people just don't have the time to come up with their own beats. By the same token, many of these struggling musicians don't necessarily have the financial resources to go out and buy premium quality beats.

Today's young music lovers are noticing just how cool vinyl records can be. Purchasing of record albums has become a huge trend for a number of different reasons. Lohans Lawyer Claims She Cant Afford Therapy!

This is rich, or maybe it isn’t. Lindsay Lohan’s lawyer said that the actress (is she?) doesn’t have the money to pay for the private therapy sessions she is being court ordered to attend. To be clear, the girl who shows up in court with a pair of sunglasses worth more than the average person’s rent ($995) can’t pony up the dough for a shrink? Oh, and let’s not leave out her shoes, which supposedly retail for over $1,000. If you’re keeping score, those two items together could get her at least eight hours at $250 an hour, which would be a pretty damn expensive hourly rate. For this one, the diva devil is in the details. It turns out that she is seeking to attend private sessions because the less expensive group sessions would most certainly be ruined by fat guys with cameras (also known as the paparazzi). Either way, the judge (who I am liking this week) decided that the excuse was not going to fly, saying: “If she doesn’t have the means, she’s got to find someone to help her out…” Sure, sure, Lindsay can just hit up one of the A-listers that she hangs out with. Although Matthew Fox is being sued by the female party bus driver whom he allegedly punched drunkenly in the breast and vagina during an altercation last month, according to the Cleveland Prosecutor's Office, he will not have any charges brought against him!

A rep explains:

"There will be no charges brought. After a review of the facts [officials] came to the conclusion not to charge."

However, the party bus driver's lawyer said in a statement:

"That is a terrible disappointment to my client. She is disappointed in the justice system and the decision."

Well, we suppose that's fair! But she also already wants $25k in damages from the lawsuit, so we're sure between that and the public embarrassment of getting so violently drunk is punishment enough!

Well, that, a public apology, and a stint in rehab we'd say!

We don't care how intoxicated he was, acting out like that is NEVER acceptable!

sandra-bullock-louis-new-york.jpg

Yesterday, a bundled up Sandra Bullock arrived on the set of her new movie, Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close, looking chilly and bit tuckered out. Perhaps the little man she is cradling in her arms might have something to do with tired look.

Did you keep her up the night before a shooting day, Louis? Didja? Didja?

Regardless, Sandra is nothing if not professional, so upon arrival, she handed Louis over to his nanny and got straight to work on her scene.

Eh, its all worth it, isn't Sandy? To get to be able to do what you love to do and still have that adorable face to come home to everyday! Priceless!

Check out more shots from Sandra's filming day yesterday below.
