Westerns are the new zombie/vampire/lost-on-an-island theme!

Sean Hayes, yes that Sean Hayes, is producing a western for NBC, which will center around Jacob Morris, a "young, eccentric East Coast doctor of mental disorders who moves to a primitive Western town at the foot of the Colorado Rockies."

In the show, the main character will not fight with a gun, despite living in cowboy land, but uses his Eastern theories to protect himself.

Hayes will produce the pilot along with his producing partners Kerry Ehrin and Todd Milliner of Hazy Mills Productions.

They weren't sure about any networks picking up the project but with the recent surge in western type shows coming to TV as well as NBC's decision to pick up their drama project, Grimm, they decided to go ahead and pitch away.

Looks like they got some competition though, because ABC will be producing two other westerns, Hangtown and Gunslinger. This one sounds WAY more interesting though!

I have always loved Epiphone guitars. For me, they have always epitomised cool tunes and even cooler players. One of my first recollections of a seeing a song performed on the TV was the Beatles at Shea Stadium, their last ever live gig (unless you include the top of the Apple building in London, where Lennon also played an Epiphone Casino) where John and George both played these iconic instruments. I didn't realise that they were, in fact, the same guitar but the 1969 version having the sunburst finish removed.

Watch: The Ringer Discussion Panel At 2011 San Diego Comic Con

The new CW TV series Ringer, which stars Sarah Michelle Gellar and will debut this Fall, was well-represented this year at 2011 San Diego Comic-Con … which means we got a lot of goodies to enjoy. First we got a couple of amazing promo posters, then we got a new trailer for the show … [...]

David and I were able to see the new musical Tales Of The City currently in production here in San Francisco, CA and despite not having read any reviews about the show we were very excited to see the show. I’m a HUGE fan of the original PBS miniseries Tales Of The City and hold the characters created by Armistead Maupin very near and dear to my heart. I was hoping to love the show … and thankfully, that’s exactly what I did :D

Because the original books and miniseries are so well done and beloved by fans, there was concern that the musical may not measure up. For the most part, Tales Of The City the musical really holds on to the original spirit of the stories and presents the characters in a very respectful way. The music, written by Jake Shears from Scissor Sisters, is actually quite good. Some of the songs could use a bit more work but for the most part, they do compliment the story very well. There is a song for the Michael Mouse Tolliver character where he reads (sings) a coming out letter to his mother … it’s heartbreakingly touching … it actually made me cry. The show has so much heart and is really fun. The staging is very inventive. If you are familiar with the way 28 Barbary Lane looks in the miniseries, you will be pleasantly surprised how much the stage version of the house comes to life with the same look and feel. The acting was superb … really. I loved every single actor on that stage. I hope this show makes it to Broadway … I think it might do very well. I believe Tales Of The City is one of the most charming stories out there … and this new musical is a charming NEW way to experience the drama and fun at 28 Barbary Lane. The show is being performed until July 31 so those of you here in SF have a few more days to see it … DO NOT miss it, I beg of you. This show should be experience in the city it is set in. You won’t be sorry, I’m sure of it.

Joe Jonas: House of Blues Boy

He’s been having a blast as a solo artist, and Joe Jonas was spotted at the House of Blues in West Hollywood, California last night (September 20).

The “See No More” stud was gracious enough to pose for pictures and sign autographs before he headed off into the evening.

In a recent interview, Joe confessed that his new material definitely has more of an R&B feel than his previous work with Jonas Brothers.

“I've always been inspired by that type of music. I've always listened to that, growing up, and I've always wanted to be able to one day create something different.”

Jonas also noted that he’s been putting in some time at the dance studio to gear up for his solo tour.

“Yeah, I've been doing a bunch of stuff with this fantastic choreographer. I've been working with him for, I would say, a little over a year. And I feel more comfortable every day with what we're coming up with, so I'm looking forward to doing more of it on tour.”

This is rich, or maybe it isn’t. Lindsay Lohan’s lawyer said that the actress (is she?) doesn’t have the money to pay for the private therapy sessions she is being court ordered to attend. He's off the hook - sort of! Lucky man!

Although Matthew Fox is being sued by the female party bus driver whom he allegedly punched drunkenly in the breast and vagina during an altercation last month, according to the Cleveland Prosecutor's Office, he will not have any charges brought against him!

A rep explains:

"There will be no charges brought. After a review of the facts [officials] came to the conclusion not to charge."

However, the party bus driver's lawyer said in a statement:

"That is a terrible disappointment to my client. She is disappointed in the justice system and the decision."

Well, we suppose that's fair! But she also already wants $25k in damages from the lawsuit, so we're sure between that and the public embarrassment of getting so violently drunk is punishment enough!

Well, that, a public apology, and a stint in rehab we'd say!

We don't care how intoxicated he was, acting out like that is NEVER acceptable!

Regardless, Sandra is nothing if not professional, so upon arrival, she handed Louis over to his nanny and got straight to work on her scene.

Rappers Paul Wall and Baby Bash were caught with weed Saturday night in El Paso, Texas. Maaa--aaa---ryyyy Jaa-aa--ne!

They were arrested and taken to the big house, but both posted bail (only $300) because they are just too fresh to stay in jail.

And while jail sucks for everyone, Paul Wall seemed to have a little honor over his lock up, tweeting:

Fresh out the El Paso County jail wit @BabyBash @BIGGROY in the same tank they held Willie Nelson/Johnny Cash.

He also posted pics of them in the cuffs! LOLz!!

Baby Bash, on the other hand wasn't, as happy. His tweets went the opposite direction:

There are plans to bring the show back in an online web series, but so far no deals with the cast and crew have been made yet.

As for star Susan Lucci, it's finally hitting her that this could very well be the end of Erica Kane. She says:

"Walking out on to the set for my first scene yesterday morning, I have to say, I started to feel it. "I had to rein my emotions back in because I had to work ... but the setting was spectacular! Perfect for the last day of shooting."

But don't expect all your questions to be answered. She adds:

"Oh, I think it's spectacular. Like any great novel, when you put it down you say, 'Well, then what?' I knew she wouldn't tie it up in a neat bow, and she really didn't. There are several cliff-hangers."

We're so sad that AMC is ending!! And without all our questions answered, what are we going to doooooo??

Britney Spears‘s young sons did a big of Easter egg hunting here in SoCal yesterday with their nanny and from the looks of the photos, it would seem that they had a great time. Sean Preston and Jayden James attended the Eggstravaganza event at Grape Arbor Park in Calabasas, CA on Saturday to get into the Easter spirit. Britney did not attend with them, presumably so that the kids could play without her drawing attention to their attendance.

My guess is that the boys got to spend yesterday with their mom … but got to play with other kids at the Easter egg hunt event at the park on Saturday. The boys got to play in the petting zoo and then were able to collect Easter eggs, candy, toys, etc. during the main event. So cute, right? These are fun photos … it looks like Britney‘s little chicks really did have themselves a great Easter weekend ;)

The Emma Stone-starring film exceeded expectations last week, bringing in $25.5 million and coming in at second place.

According to projections, The Help is expected to bring in approximately $18 million this upcoming weekend.

Other movies that will be competing for that #1 spot include Fright Night, One Day, Conan the Barbarian, Spy Kids: All the Time in the World, AND there's always the possibility that Apes maintains its throne!

Who knows, though! Maybe The Smurfs will return to #1 in a surprise move! It COULD happen! Ha!

Angelina Jolie and her roving family have made their way to London, England this week on their latest stop on the world tour they call their life. While daddy Brad Pitt is off filming his new film World War Z, Ange took her two eldest daughters — Zahara Marley and Shiloh Nouvel — for a little shopping excursion to a toy store in London … which, as you can imagine, turned into a big deal once the photogs learned they were there. What a crazy life these people live. I am constantly amazed when they get to do the simplest things … like go for walks, visit the playground or go toy shopping. It looks to me like the kids are adjusting as well as they can … especially considering how much in the public eye they are. I sincerely hope that fun trips to toy stores like this will live on as good memories rather than bad ones :/
